Rate Hearing / Budget Hearing / June Board Meeting, May 15, 2022

The Raleigh Water District will hold a Rate Hearing, Budget Hearing and its June Board meeting on Wednesday June 15, 2022 at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the District office located at 5010 SW Scholls Ferry Rd., Portland, OR 97225.

Budget Committee Meeting, SDC Methodology Public Hearing and Board Meeting May 18, 2022.

NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Raleigh Water District, Washington County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for fiscal year July 01, 2022 to June 30, 2023 will be held at 5010 SW Scholls Ferry Road, Portland, OR. This meeting will take place Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained at 5010 SW Scholls Ferry Road, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

A Public Meeting will be held to discuss adopting Water System Development Charge Methodology and Fees.


The Board of Commissioners will hold their monthly Board meeting on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 7:30 pm.

NOTIFICATION OF INTENDED ADOPTION OF A WATER SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT CHARGE (SDC) METHODOLOGY, FEES AND CREDITS

SUBJECT:      NOTIFICATION OF INTENDED ADOPTION OF A WATER SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT CHARGE (SDC) METHODOLOGY, FEES AND CREDITS

This letter is to inform you of the proposed adoption of a water system methodology by the Raleigh Water District and serves to fulfill the 90 day notice to interested parties as required by ORS 223.304(6).  If adopted, the proposed local water system SDC methodology will go into effect for all applicable permits applied for on or after July 01, 2022.

Implementation of the proposed methodology consists of two separate components:

  1. The proposed water system SDC methodology will be available for public review on March 17, 2022 (60 days prior to public hearing). 
  • The Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on May 18, 2022, regarding the proposed Resolution adopting a water system SDC methodology and charges.

The proposed water system SDC methodology will be available for public review on March 17, 2022, at the following location: 5010 SW Scholls Ferry Rd., Portland, OR 97225

Elevated Lead Levels in Some Homes Underscore Need for the New Corrosion Control Facility Coming in Spring 2022

The Raleigh Water District partners with the City of Portland and other water suppliers in a regional monitoring program for water quality analysis. The Portland Water Bureau received results from its twice-a-year testing for lead in water at homes known to have lead solder in their plumbing. The test results of 21 parts per billion (ppb), are above the EPA action level of 15 ppb.
